Around the world today, there is a universal sense that we are living through a unique moment in history. Rarely before has the need for systemic change been more obvious or more urgent.
The economic and social crisis that continues to unfold across the globe requires a new vision of political economy that can offer a truly progressive alternative to the neoliberal paradigm that is undermining the civil and democratic foundations of our societies and the economic and social well being of individuals and their communities.
Synergia is an international network of individuals and organizations that unites academics, social activists, practitioners and policy makers in a common effort to articulate, advocate, and implement models of economic and social practice that transition societies to a new model of political economy that is sustainable, democratic, socially just, and based on the principles of co-operation and the common good.
Synergia is uniting education, training, and praxis by offering both an online course in fall/winter 2016, and an intensive face-to-face program to be offered at the Synergia Summer Institute from September 4 -September 23 at Monte Ginezzo, Tuscany. The subject of the courses is Transition to Co-operative Commonwealth.
